Signature Engineering & Architectural Consultancy is a design and supervision practice, founded in Türkiye and based in Basra, working for the public and private sectors.

Where we come from
Signature Engineering & Architectural Consultancy was set up to do two things most practices keep apart: design a place, then stay with it until it is built. Architects, engineers, planners and site supervisors work in one office at Al-Tawaisa and on one drawing set.
Our record is public and visible: the gate, halls and gardens of Basra International Airport, the Safwan and Shalamcheh crossings, Basra Sports City, the Conference Palace, city streets and neighbourhood gardens, and the headquarters and clinics of private companies. Every project began with listening to the site, the brief and the people who would use the place.

How we work
01
No templates. Each brief is read against its site, its budget and its users before the first line is drawn.
02
Basra's light, heat, water and streets shape the answer: shaded medians, native planting, façades that face the sun on purpose.
03
Architecture, structure, services and landscape are designed together, in one drawing set, by one team.
04
Our engineers stay on site until handover, so what is built is what was drawn.
05
Cost and programme are designed like everything else: set early, tracked weekly, reported plainly.
06
Clients, authorities and contractors are in the room from the start; approvals and site questions are resolved together, not by letter.
How the practice grew
01
The practice began with one belief: that architecture and engineering, kept together, create value far beyond the built form.
02
Designers and engineers with site experience were brought under one roof, ready for projects with real constraints.
03
Public commissions in Basra followed: the airport programme, the border crossings, streets, gardens and civic buildings.
04
With each completed project the approach became clearer: rooted in context, guided by purpose, supervised to the end.
